Summer experiences in the valley

Adventure Parks

Tasting the feeling of free falling on a flying fox, testing yourself on a high rope course, crossing the rivers on instable hanging bridges, climbing huge artificial walls – adventure park lovers are guaranteed to have fun. The Adventure Parcours in Pfunds can be reached in a few minutes by car and everyone can test their spirit there. There are different missions in the dizzying height and the real highlight is the abseiling from 35 meters. A must to try for young and adults as well!

In Serfaus, the Serfauser Sauser offers a real unique expreience when speeding towards the valley on a flying fox. You may choose from 4 different cable ropes, out of which the longest is 783 meters and you loose 162 meters altitude when „flying” down. The Fisser Flitzer is a 2,2 km long summer toboggan course in Fiss. The course starts at 1812 m above sea level right next to the cable car station and you can reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h when speeding down to the valley.

3 counties, 4000 km cycling trails and 140 000 meters altitude difference – in the Tiroler Oberland and the neighbouring Switzerland and Italy there are plenty to choose from: from the easy, relaxed ways to the most demanding mountain routes there is a nearly endless number of options, so families with kids always find a nice way to ride, just like the real ironmen, and everyone else between them.

The Via Claudia August bike road, following the old Roman way of Ceaser Claudius, connects the harbours of the Adriatic Sea with the Danube valley. Leading from Donauwörth in Germy down to Venice, the biking road follows the valley of the river Inn through the Tiroler Oberland, thus almost passing by right next to the Riederstub’n is Ried. The trail leads mostly on bicycle roads, side streets and eventually low traffic main roads, on which even the whole family may make a daily trip to Landeck or Pfunds (in the opposite direction), as the terrain is not that demanding in these areas.

Of course mountainbike freaks staring in Ried have also plenty of trails (with different difficulty levels) to choose from, and they can find detailed road descriptions on the following link. Mountainbike beginners and those who like having the comfort of being lead on an unknown terrain may take part free of charge on the MTB tours organized by the tourism office.

And last but not least, we offer our guests bicycle usage free of charge (both in adult and children sizes), however with limited availability.

The Bibi Active and Outdoor Programs offer exciting programs on every day of the week for children from 4 years of age. Under the guidance of the instructors creative tasks, adventures, expreciences and active games await the kids out in the nature. The Serfauser Murmilwasser spanning 15.000 m2 on the bank of a mountain stream is a game and adventure park for children. The park inherited its name from the marmot, the typical animal of the region, which you can see in the park. Besides the countless number of activities one of the greatest highlights of the park is the 200 m long marmot cave, where the kids can have a closer glimpse of the life of this unique animal.
